KPSU ad. On a limited (or non-existant) budget, I created an ad for a college radio station in Portland, Oregon. Childcare International ad. Every year Childcare International places an ad in an annual give-at-work catalogue. The ads from prior years lacked visual appeal, but more importantly, focus. CCI is an international relief and development organization, with several great programs in several countries. But to a reader who has never heard of the organization, a grand overview is too overwhelming.

Instead, I focused on CCI's work in Africa with AIDS orphans, then broadened to their overall description toward the end of the copy.

Break In poster. Freestyle Dance Centre was developing a new children's musical theater program, and needed to get the word out to get enrollment. Since it would mostly be first-time students, I came up with the name "Break In," as in breaking into the spotlight, as well as the spotlight logo. I shot some photos of a co-worker's son on a local high school's stage for the lead image. The poster was successful in bringing in a full class of new musical drama students.
